OGBONNAYA ONU FOUNDATION COMMISERATES WITH BENUE STATE OVER YELWATA KILLINGS

The Ogbonnaya Onu Foundation, through its Managing Trustee, Her Excellency, Dr. Chinyere Onu, expresses profound sorrow and extends heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Benue State, particularly the Yelwata community, over the recent tragic killings that have left many families in grief and despair.
We are deeply saddened by the senseless violence and loss of innocent lives, which have once again brought pain to a state known for its peace-loving people. The Foundation stands in solidarity with the affected families and calls for swift justice to ensure that the perpetrators of these heinous acts are brought to book.
In the spirit of the late Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu’s commitment to peace, unity, and national cohesion, we urge all stakeholders—government, security agencies, and community leaders—to work together to prevent further bloodshed and restore lasting security in Benue State.
The Foundation also encourages humanitarian aid for displaced persons and survivors, while praying for divine comfort for the bereaved and strength for the entire Benue community during this difficult time.
